Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The man-made multi-million dollar Dubai Water Canal cuts through the desert and connects the rear end of Dubai Creek, to the sea. While it greatly improved navigation through the creek and connected parts of the City with an unhindered form of marine transportation, it became necessary to create some major new bridges for road traffic to efficiently cross the canal. In the backbround are several construction cranes indicating it is still work in progress. The trees to the left are in Safa Park whose area was significantly reduced by the creation of the canal.
