A painting on the wall of a ruined villa in the town of Pompeii that was destroyed by the last great volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The painting, probably over 2000 years old, shows some women captured by roman soldiers. The red used on these walls are often referred to as Pompeii Red. There is no restriction on photography, where this photo was taken. Shot in natural light. Horizontal format. © Mano Chandra Dhas
