Ruins of the city of Pompeii destroyed by the last great eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. As the City was destroyed by volcanic ash, the only lost the timber; structures stand almost as they did nearly 2000 years ago. This probably was a Bakery. Some of the debris from the volcano can be seen in the foreground. Photo shot in the afternoon sunlight; horizontal format. Copy space. No people. © Mano Chandra Dhas
