Zipaquira, Colombia - Tourists at the Entrance, Catedral de Sal

Zipaquira, Colombia – Tourists both Colombian and international, at the entrance to the Catedral de Sal a subterranean church located in an old halite mine, in Zipaquira, in the Cundinamarca Department of the Latin American Country of Colombia. They are moving towards what used to be the entrance to the old mine on the Andean hillside. They are at an elevation of about 9000 feet above mean sea level. Chinese lanterns, used as Christmas decorations, continue to adorn the passage even past mid January. Photo shot in the morning sunlight; horizontal format.
