Kodaikanal, India – The Kodaikanal Lake on the Palani Hills, in the South Indian State of Tamil Nadu located at about 7000 feet above mean sea level. The colonial town and hill station, was set up by the British when they were in India. The man made lake was constructed by British engineers in 1863.
