Rome, Italy – The Piazza del Campidoglio or Capitoline Square, designed by the famous Renaissance artist Michelangelo Buonorroti in the Italian capital city of Rome. Campidoglio is one of the original seven hills on which Rome was built. The entrance to the square, has the statues of Polox and Castor. To the left, is the equestrian statue of the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. He was emperor from 161 to 180 AD. Many tourists can be seen in the photo. The square is always crowded.
