Mano Chandra Dhas – Photographer
Mano is a senior Travel Professional and artist who worked in the Arabian Gulf for 35 years. For thirty three of those years, he was based in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. As a Travel professional, he travelled extensively. His cameras always travelled with him. He now lives in the Andean capital city of Bogotá, Colombia, in South America. Basically a landscape painter at heart, his image concepts come from his perspectives of colour and depth. It is obvious he sees the world in vibrant colour.
Until as late as 2006 his photography medium of choice was film, his trusted Leica R8 with a APO Summicron R90 f2 was his favourite camera and lens. Images featured in these pages therefore, are only after he went digital in 2006. He now uses a couple of Canon EOS DLSR cameras. His favourite lenses are the Canon L Lenses (24-70 f2.8L and the 70-200 f2.8L IS USM) and the Leica R90 f2, which he continues to use on a Canon EOS 5D MII. Photography is a passion with Mano. Landscape, Architecture and People are his favourite genre. Animals, Sports and Events follow very closely.
