Bogotá, Colombia – Traffic come up one of the narrow streets of the historical La Candelaria district of Bogotá, the Andean capital city of the South American country of Colombia. Tourists looking for low cost accommodation often stay in the ‘hostels’ in La Candelaria. One of them can be seen to the left of the image. It is near this area that the Spanish Conquistador, Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada founded the city in 1538. Many of the walls in this area are painted with street art, legends of the pre Colombian era, or just in the vibrant colours of Latin America. 20th July is National Day in Colombia: many flags therefore adorn buildings. The sky is overcast: it will probably rain shortly. Photo shot on a cloudy morning; horizontal format. Copy space.
