Bogota, Colombia – The narrow Carrera Segunda in the historical La Candelaria District of the South American capital city of Bogota, in Colombia is not too crowded in the image, because it is 20th July, National Day and a holiday in the Country. It is in this area that the City was founded in 1538, by the Spanish Conquistador, Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada. Not much seems to have changed in the last 470 odd years on this narrow street, which was constructed when people travelled mainly on horseback. Many walls in the area are painted with either street art, or legends of the pre Colombian era, in the vibrant colours of Latin America. Some local Colombians are seen in the image. The sky is overcast; it will probably rain shortly. Photo shot in the morning sunlight, on a cloudy day. Horizontal format. Copy space.
