Bogota, Colombia – Looking at the downtown area of the Andean capital city of Bogota, Colombia in South America, from the mountain peak called Monserrate. Concrete towers, churches, plazas, roads and streets can all be seen. The red terracotta roof tiled buildings to the left of the image are located in La Candelaria, which is the oldest and historic part of the city. The area has many building in the colonial Spanish style of architecture. To the right are the modern towers in the City. The street called Las Aguas is clearly seen. Image demonstrates the old and the new, in significant contrast. Located at over 8500 feet above mean sea level, it is one of the largest cities in Latin America. Photo shot in the morning sunlight.
