Colombia, South America – The peak of Monserrate and beyond, as viewed from the neighbouring peak of Guadalupe on the Cordillera Oriental, in the capital city of Bogota in the South American country of Colombia. The peak is about 500 metres above the capital city, which itself is over 2500 metres or 8450 feet, above mean sea level on the Eastern Andes. It is Sunday afternoon and a lot of people can be seen in front of the church on the peak. The distance however is too great to recognise anyone: the people are just tiny specks. Far below in the background, is the capital city located on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense; and in the distant background, more of the Andes Mountains.
